trip to london
21 Answers
Hi,
I'm due to go on a school trip with my six year to london. After all the bomb scares at the weekend I'm having second thoughts about taking him. I know security will be tight but I'm still worrying about taking my child into a potentially dangerous situation. I know I'm probably over reacting a bit, what does anyone else think. Would you take your child?

Zacsmaster - this isn't about winning or losing its about risk and safty and not just being defiant, It was this time last year they bombed London and they are trying again so manic mum this is the most important thing to you your child who you want to keep safe do what you feel is right it just proves how much of a good mother you are.
this could happen anywhere - this was not only London. This has now come to 5 miles from my front door and I can tell you here in Glasgow we are all going about our daily business as normal. If you are not going to relax and enjoy yourself then no point in going really but I certainly would not cancel any trip.

manic Mum, I wouldn't go, my head office in tavistock square experienced first hand what can happen last year, the girls there who i used to speak to several times a week, are not the same any more, life changed for them forever, i am only wise after an event unfortunately, not very often before it,

Hi..we won a holiday to America and had to fly out 3 weeks after 9/11...my parents thought that we were very selfish to be taking our 2 sons into a potential high risk country, but we were determined to go...why let ignorant fools try to take away our freedom? We had the holiday of our dreams and felt safe every minute with the security in place everywhere,it will be just like that in London..go,have a wonderful time and I'm sure you and your son will take home a million happy memories...enjoy your trip..footymum
