i am pregnant i have a son called harrison and need a name for the next babe some thing different but not too strange anyone have any ideas for boys and girls names our last name is fields so no flowery names

that's a difficult question to ask us, why did you call your son harrison? i love that name but it wont go well with surname of my fiance, girls names that i love are :

this list could be endless and the only person that can choose it is you and your partner to be honest

called him harrison fields coz it sounds a bit like harrison ford and didn't want him to have a very common name as i hated it as a child there must have been at least 10 other people with the same name as me

there are loads of baby name websites have a browse through them write down any ideas and choose with your partner, how far along are you and are you going to find out the sex of the baby before it's born

excellent, most people say to me that you wont know the babys name until he/she is born, when my sis in law had her little girl just under a year ago she had loads of names picked out and they had settled on one but when she was born she didnt fit the name didnt look like what they had picked so chose a different name

A friend of mine had twins, Harrison and Maddison. At first I thought..... Maddison? but Harry and Maddy really suit their names :)

We too struggled to find a name that went with my fiance's surname too - We chose Ava in the end. She's 9 months in a couple of days.

I was determined to call my daughter Grace but when she was born it didn't seem right. Now I look at her, shes a proper tomboy. I'm so grateful I changed my mind.

When i was expecting my first child we liked Harrison but ended up having a girl, which we named Madison.
Later had another daughter and named her Nadine.

Well its pretty obvious to me - Gracie for a girl - Gracie Fields was very famous and her Granddaughter is Lisa Standsfield.

I personnally wanted to call my baby girl Gracie-Mai after
Macy Grey the signer, my Father wanted her to be named after a country singer called Emmy-Lou, but my partner wanted to call her Ella-Mai and he got his wish.

Their are no rules with name choices or their spellings, but its also important to think of the child as they grow up and how it may effect name calling ect. Avoid friut names at all costs - PLEASE !

My Daughter is called Emaleigh. ?Its pronounced Emily but spelled different. She was gonna be Rosie though. but then you said thst you didn't want flower names, but I think that Rosie Fields sounds lovely
