Traumatic morning with an intruder in the house
41 Answers
Morning all....and what a morning!
By 8.30am today all the family had gone apart from me and my eldest boy (17). He was planning a study morning at home until his mate called for him at 9am and off they went. I'd just settled down with a cuppa when I heard footsteps and the sound of drawers being opened, coming from upstairs.
I knew my neighbours were out so I phoned 999 and hid in the shed clutching a bicycle pump. Two cops arrived and found the intruder cowering under my eldest's duvet.
It was his new girlfriend (who we hadn't yet met). He'd sneaked her into the house last night....and then when he got up this morning he'd forgotten about her.
The cops weren't impressed, the girl was hysterical and I may be arrested for GBH after I get my hands on my son. He's (wisely) still out but I feel like strangling him.

He got up for breakfast as normal so as not to arouse my suspicions. He thought I was going out early so he would have the house to himself and planned on going back to bed.
When his mate came round with his new car, he forgot about the girl and off he went.

He's already grounded until he's an OAP!
You may remember some previous posts about him.
There's the time he was sck on his new, expensive bedrom carpet and rather than clean it he cut the vommitty part of the carpet out.
Then there's the time I cooked a 60 joint of beef on a Saturday for a Sunday buffet lunch for my in laws wedding anniversary. My son & his mates came back from rugby and made the whole joint into sandwiches.
Roll on autumn when he's off to Uni.
