Wrong gender scan
24 Answers
Hi wondering if anyone can help me. We had a gender scan at 16 weeks and found out it was a boy. We were unable to get pics of the babys genitalia as the baby wasnt playing very nicely so couldn,t get a clear pic. We have a picture od the baby side on with his knees to his chest and a couple of friends have commented 'are you sure its a boy' as it looks like there is the classic three lines which suggests a girl. Confused now! Would you be able to see the lines from side view? Please help. Scan picture can be viewed at http://www.flickr.com/photos/16446360@N08/?sav ed=1

I would be surprised if the sonographer committed themselves to saying it was definately a boy as they normally give you a percentage in case of possible mistakes whic, as red said, do happen.
As you have had a scan at 16 weeks (most areas do them at 12 and 20 weeks) are you due to have another scan where it will be more clearer? If not, look inot a private scan or even a 4d scan. I had one done and they are amazing, and there was no mistaking I was having a girl! lol
