I used to feel like that too, you have an image in your head of a lovely little baby. Something that is so dependent on you and a little thing to love. In reality though it is very difficult. I was in my late twenties and married when I had my daughter and I can tell you I used to look at her sitting in her little chair and think OMG this is mine to care for forever! It is a huge responsibility and without being financially secure and in a relationship with family support I don't think I would have got through it. Babies cry alot and this causes so much stress its untrue, I can clearly remember thinking I don't know how single teenage mums cope because I can't. You aren't stupid for having feelings like this but don't act on them until you are considerably older and secure in every way you can be. I also look after babies all day and once you have done that it gives you a taster of how difficult it is, you could look at a career in childcare and find out yourself.
hi
i agree with everyone else, why would you want a baby at 15. me and my partner have just had a baby and we're 27 and I couldn't think of anything worse than being a teenage mum or even a mum in my early 20's. I love being a mum because i'm old enough now, we can just afford it and i've done all the girly holidays, worked abroad, lived the student life etc
i had 9 months of constant morning sickness, back ache, constipation, pains here and there, 25hr labour, stitches from my front to back side and inside, leeking boobs, one boob bigger than the other, its been 2 months and i'm still in pain from the birth.
as well as that can you afford it, you get 18.80 benefits a week and here's what I pay in a month on baby essentials:
formula 50
nappies 40 approx
Wipes 10 approx
Then on top of that you need to supply
Cot and Matress 130 approx
Bedding varies
Buggy, Car Seat, Pushchair 130+
Bottles, Steralise 40 approx
Baby bouncer, playmat, 10 each for the basics
Baby Bath
Toys
Cloths...... the list goes on and adds up to hundreds and hundreds of pounds even before the baby is born
then you've got to think about getting up 2, 3, 4 or even 5 times a night.
you really should speak to your mum before you do something you may end up regretting.
if your boyfriend isn't to keen and you end up pregnant do you really think he'll stick around!!!!!

one other thing i forgot to mention. once you've paid all that out on baby things you've still got to survive and have a life and pay for your food, accommodation, bills, clothes etc etc all on a whopping 18.80 a week. if you do your sums you'll see what you need to buy and what money you get just doesn't add up!!!!!
if you cant speak to your mum i would definately be booking a doctors appointment or go to your local GUM or Family Planning clinic for advice

Could you go through that, at the age of 15? Its the mirical of life, yes, but you will have pain to go through first. Then sleepness nights, then finantual problems due to thecase of not being able to afford to keep a child (you cant get a job at 15)

i remember when i was 15 + went through a phase of wanting a baby! But luckily for me i had a wise head on me + new it would be such the wrong thing to do at such a young age. Im so glad i waited until i was 23 + had a Career behind me. My little Girl is 4 now + altho i love her to bits, there was no way on this earth i could of coped with a baby at 15! i really didnt realise at that age just how hard it could possibly be. i just saw Cute little babys all dressed lovely + wanted one! A Baby is not a Toy, you cant just throw it away when you have finished with it. Its a HUGE commitment - Probably the biggest commitment you will ever make in your life.... Good Luck for the future. x
hey ronie- maytee lady peach speaking. well first off i gotta say i am preg. and 16 so i actuallyn relate. i can't tell you what to do but i can tell you to evaluate yourself. see if your mature enough to raise your self and child . wait at least till you 16 so you can becaome a mature adult in the states eyes anbd can work and then if you still want a child have one. you also need alot of experience take classes do things babysit and such and experience and wait until 16 and then if you still think your ready then have a child.
