my daughter was born in jan 2003 and has her fathers surname he has not seen her since she was a small baby i have since remarried and she keeps on asking why her name is different can we change it by eed pole

and if you have permission, deed pole is only one option and the most expensive one. You could use a statutory declaration which should be much cheaper
