5 Answers
Ive recently had a baby, she is now 4 weeks old. But ever since i have had her i feel nothing for my partner. I hate it when hes home and everything he does irritates me. I cant stand him touching me so when he goes to cuddle me i cant wait for him to just get off me. Its only him i feel like this towards as i love my little girl to bits and dont feel this way about her.

You need to get the right help and treatment if it is. If not then it could be just the normal tiredness of having a new baby and I'm guessing that he maybe wants to get intimate again and you don't? Either way speak out and get help. Take care.
Yes....the responsibility is stressing you. Re-organise ur life and take time out for yourself. Tell father Saturday pm is his 'bonding time' with babe and you need time for yourself. Leave father & babe at home and go shopping yourself, to clear your head.
Remember he feels the weight of responsibility of providing for you and babe and he is trying to hold things together, respect him for that. From respect your affection will return. Try not to turn him away as he only has you and his baby's welfare at heart.

It could be PND but it could also just be the overall tiredness and stress that comes with a newborn.
Speak to your midwife, they can do a simple Q&A test to get an idea.
If you do have AND there are ways to treat it other than with drugs and the support is very good nowadays.
Just to add though that I have felt like this after both of mine, and didnt have PND.
Your body has been exhausted, and now your mind and body both have to deal with a lot, sleepless nights, worrying about caring for a newborn, the responsibility that accompanies parenthood and also you never seem time to look after yourself, eveyone else comes first dont they. I think it was about 4 weeks before i started to eat again after the birth of my second.
be open with your hubby about how you are feeling and Im sure he will understand and support you
