No its been much sunnier and warmer than it was last year, i believe it rained a lot and there were floods all over either last year or the year before.

The last 'spell' of sunny and warm down here was back in early July-or so it seems. Its been almost as bad as last year-which was a wash-out.

Chris that article is from 2007. It obviously varies within the UK but I can firmly say this August has been the cloudiest and wettest I can remember in the south. There has not been one day in the school hols where you could comfortably sit on the beach round me.

I can remember feeling like this last year at the end of the summer holidays!! i actually can't remember the last time we had a good run of dry sunny weather in the 6 week break
