yep! we thoroughly enjoyed our time there and didn't want for anything!
you will get a card/voucher when you get your wrist band (one per person) and you must redeem a card each time you swap over and give them back in when you check out or they will charge you £15 (where i went at least)!
take pound coins for tips (suitcase carrier, waiter and pool boy etc) and never EVER notes! big box of fags are £20/22ish and pay in sterling too! (i don't smoke but everyone from work got me to buy all the ration lol!)
plus, if you can, take any old paperbacks with you because the beach traders (very poor people) can sell them on when they are finished with!
and finally ... take tissues for the airport as the "canny" local cleaners charge £2 for a few squares and don't provide any in the cubicles!

Plenty of towels at hotels - give tips in notes not pound coins as they cannot change coins - best to give egyptian pounds. They will be v grateful. Sorry to disagree with you cathfromsaron. The egyptian lads at our hotels when we have been to Egypt asked us is we could change the pound coins into notes for them as the bank will not accept and change coinage for them.
the hotel we stayed at they were most insistent on sterling and coins! obv local money is welcome too but that is what we were told by english speaking waiters: it's better than local money for buying what they want at competitive prices! and when you go all inc you don't need to get local money this way!
