Giving birth at 48?

It seems that John Travolta's wife Kelly has just given birth aged 48!
Now I have no children,and in fact have never been pregnant,but something seems wrong here.
I know we women CAN have babies late but something in this seems odd to me.
Not that long after(sadly) losing their son she amazingly produces another child,as to replace the other.
Was it conceived by IVF,or surrogacy,we will probably never know the truth(especially given that they are Scientologists)
Any thoughts welcome.
I apologise if this sounds hard.

I can see your point invictas, but after seeing a photograph of the Romanian woman who had her first child at 67 years old (she looked gross holding her childs' hand). I think the Travoltas are really lucky to be able to have another healthy child. 48 isn't too old and they should be well able to afford to care for it. Maybe she wouldn't have tried again if they hadn't lost their son. Good luck to them.

Just pointing out the pregnancy in your 40s is quite common so don't know why you'd think it might be IVF or surrogacy by the Travoltas.

Cant see what business it is of anyones TBH -not having a pop at anyone here at all.
I am thrilled to bits for them and until tonight I didnt know they had the new addition to their family (although i knew they were having another baby) and a much loved baby it will be as all are:)
Huge congratulations after the devastation they suffered-what a blessing for a loving tight knit couple :)
