Good Instant Coffee?
30 Answers
Is there such a thing as higher quality instant coffee? I generally don't like any of the cheaper or shop own coffees. My go to would be Nescafe Gold Blend or Carte Noir, and I don't really like Maxwell House, Kenco or Daege Roberts.
But are there any other varieties of instant coffee that are of higher quality that anyone could recommend.
I realise that any true coffee aficionados will baulk at the very notion of any form of instant coffee being of any quality lol, but please glance over your misgivings just this once.

However, when I've done so in the past, I've been very impressed with their Bellarom Gold Blend which, as you like Nescafé Gold Blend, you might care to try:

PS: I'm currently drinking Morrison's Full Roast instant coffee, which is on special offer at the moment, at just £2.25 for a large (200g) jar. It's probably not right at the top of the league table of instant coffees but it's still a decent enough 'everyday' coffee, in my opinion:

Try Azera INTENSO which is stronger than the Americano.

Nescafé Original Extraforte, perhaps?

I'm a bit of a coffee fiend, and I've tried nearly all instant coffees and by far the best I've found is Nescafé Gold Blend Espresso. It's quite expensive, but can often be found on offer - as can Nescafé Azera (next best I've found), either the Americano or Espresso versions. The Azera Intenso version is too strong, even for me!
I do have a cafetiere but generally don't have the time to make coffee that way. But if I do then I use Illy coffee which is the nicest coffee I've ever tried.
Thanks for the suggestions, I'll keep an eye out for Intenso versions and yes, the original Nescafe is pretty nice but I've not seen one called extraforte.
I've tried Lavazza before and enjoyed it, so maybe I'll try it again.
I thought maybe there were some premium brands out there that I've never heard of, but all of the mentions here are pretty much the staple, so perhaps they're the best in offer in the instant coffee world.
