The cooking instructions (for microwave) say you have to stir it, so it's like a minced product by the time it gets to the plate?
Would you do a gravy with it, and if so what type?
Sheep

I dont understand......:(
Take it out of its skin and squash it into a Pyrex dish, Better done in oven than microwave, so you can get lovely crisp bits round the edges. Serve with apple sauce (much nicer than turnip) and mashed potatoes. No gravy, unless you like really soggy food.
Sorry wanda - lamb gravy is best, if you are going to have it. Most Scottish people eat it without. Haggis is made from sheep.

It is delicious!
I find it comes out quite dry when done in oven, I wrap mine in tin foil and put it in a pan of boiling water. When its cooked just cut open and scoop out. Neeps and tatties is best with it. You could also go fora whisky sauce. Never had the need for gravy.
Eat anything you like with it. It's basically a meat ball of sorts. Spuds & the veg of your choice is probably favourite.

It's fine all by itself then, no need for anything else, brilliant, thanks for that.
Oven method as per instructions served with mash and carrot. Cheers!
I had Haggis last night, made a shepherds pie with it!
cooked it first by boiling it for 30mins, then emptied it into a caserole dish cover with mash potato then cook in oven for a further 30mins.
Opening it up and sticking it in the microwave for a couple of minutes is the quickest and most economical way of heating haggis. Carrot and swede mashed together is nice, too.

Urrrrgh! It was revolting
It really is all the bits a normal butcher would throw away with some extra fat and salt thrown in to make it more palatable... disgusting
Sorry, never again, its definitely not for me :((

Lol, You sound like my wife after she first tried it! I get mine from a friend who works in scotland and brings me back a few, I have tried one from down here (From waitrose i think) and it was disgusting!

You should have made crofters pie! A classic dish from Grandma :) http://www.scotsindep...food/crofters_pie.htm heres a recipe if you ever change your mind x
We have it with a burger, either chicken or beef, prefer the chicken one. Just spoon some on top of the burger and serve with whiskey sauce, its called a Barmoral Burger in our local pub, very nice.
Wrap loosely in foil, put in a dish and bake for 3/4 - 1 hour at 200C. Eat with mashed potatoes, carrots, swede, colcannon, white cabbage, No need for gravy.
