George foreman.
George Foreman (he`s American I think) Funnily enough I`ve just given mine to my Mum as I never used it and she loves it. I got it at Macro years ago.

He's an American ex boxer....
I've got just the normal one without the side plate...Don't rate it to be honest..
ummmm george was an american boxer
tamb - they work fine
ummmm - see you said ex boxer - but his basic grills are ok
Tony - Is he still fighting then?
I have one sitting in a cupboard...used 2-3 times. Hated it...things were not grilled, and came out fairly dry. I would not recommend.

Am told they're great to start off bbq meats as its a quick grill, no smoke and fat collector.
The first George Foreman I bought was a pricier model with removable plates that would go in the dishwasher. It was absolutely hopeless as the coupling between plates and main unit was poor, and everything came out with a pallid, boil-in-the-bag quality.

We replaced that one with a cheap model that Tesco had on special offer and it works great. It's a bit of a pain to clean, but much easier than a grill. It was very handy to have one around for last year's barbecue summer ...
ummmm - did not see ex in your reply, so I said was - then tried to appologise lol ok x
Lol...I didn't see your second answer. That confused me...I was sitting her thinking 'that's what I said' lol
I wouldn't recommend either...

I found the meat came out like it was braised rather than grilled...
Mine didn`t have removable plates so it was difficult to clean. I much prefer my grill pan. The George Foreman stayed in my cupboard for about 6 years.
brilliant piece of kit, i have this one....http://ecx.images-amazon.com/images/I/

I used to have one and I liked it for grilling sausages, but the non-stick coating wore off and the sausages kept sticking firmly to the grill.

In the end I scrapped it.
I wouldn't be without mine I have the one with the plate as well . One good tip for cleaning. As soon as you take food off take some kitchen roll and wipe the plates then it is not so hard to clean as you have taken most of the bits off .Had mine for abut 6 years now and still got a good non stick coat as I have never had to scrape it.
We have a big tabletop one, we use it every weekend for full breakfasts, it's great. If the non-stick wears off, all you have to do is spray oil on it. A bit like this one http://www.argos.co.u...artNumber/4226701.htm
