so you have a guest who for religious (or any other) reasons can't eat certain food, do you cater for them or ignore them, as the batty woman on come dine seemed to suggest?

having the odd one or two food issues myself i find eating out at other people's houses a tad tricky as i don;t like to say 'yes i'd love to come to dinner but....'

however if i was the one giving the party i would make every effort to find out if their are foods that people don;t like can;t eat so i could plan around them. ob on come dine its not that easy as they plan their menu's before they meet the people but, whatever her name was seemed to suggest that the jewish lady shouldn't go out anywhere and expect to be catered for and that the other one was making it up

Get your own back on vegetarians. If they invite you to dinner, insist on having a steak! ;-)
