EGGS?

Why is it when I see tv shows from America their eggs are white and circular, and our eggs are brown and egg shaped? Please help me with this, love ya. x Thanks in advance.

Growing up-all I ever saw was white eggs. I was introduced to brown when I moved to the UK. It's all down to what breed of chicken is producing those eggs. Nutritionally they are the same.

Purdue University here in the U.S. says "In general, chicken breeds with white
ear lobes lay white eggs, whereas chickens with red
ear lobes lay brown eggs." Can't say I've ever tested the theory though.

One can buy brown or white eggs here, but the browns are usually more expensive, albeit somewhat larger on average...

I never even realised hens had earlobes. I'll have to look more closely next time I see one.

looks for the ones with the big hoop earings, give it away every time (usually have an item of burberry as well)
