I buy olive oil for cooking as a healthier oil, I also use a little on my hair each night massaged in. I wondered if anyone else bought common ingredients & used them for other purposes?

I carry a bottle of vinegar in the boot of my car. When it's bucketing down with rain but (despite squirting it with screen wash) my windscreen won't properly clear (because of grease traces), I pull over, lift the wiper arms and empty half a bottle of vinegar all over the windscreen. Dropping the wiper arms back into place produces really clear visibility after just a couple of 'swishes'.

Olive oil is also good for cleaning your hands when you can't find the Swarfega. I've even used it to oil hinges on occasions!

Have mixed egg and oil together for a hair mask. Have to rinse off carefully though, with the water not too hot, or you end up with scrambled egg. Then have to wash with shampoo afterwards. The better the oil, better the results. Best is almond.
