After listening to the food programme
I thought vegetable fats were good for you

All fats are loaded with calories. I think olive oil is the best

Yes I use a lot of olive oil but I cannot use that in baking
The "good" fats are monounsaturated (olive oil, nuts, avocados) and omega-3 (fatty fish like salmon). "Bad" fats are saturated and trans-fats.

In fact I made some yummy muffins using it. the problem with vegetable fats occurs when they are made into spready marg and trans fats are produced. These are bad news.
fats that you can't see through at room temp are the worst
