Can you and do you make soup in a slow cooker? Any recipe ideas if so? Think I need to start making soup now it's going chilly!
prev tuna in sunflower oil / subsitute for salad. advice please

You can and there are plenty of recipes on t'internet - just google slow cooker or crock pot soup or something.

However for ease I often used to buy the packet stuff and add (for instance, bits of chicken and sweetcorn to a veggie soup). After a few hours of slow simmering it was lovely.

nextqueen: if you have a branch of The Works (cheapo bookshops), pay them a visit. I recently got a very good "slow cooker" recipe book for 99p!

I buy these packs of ready cut up fresh mixed veg .1 veg stock cube or chicken . All in my slow cooker. Then I liquidise it.
