Can't you just use a spoon ?
-- answer removed --

If they are beans out of the cupboard, open the can of beans at the end you have been storing them. The beans will all have sunk to the bottom of the can and will flop out in a mass, followed by a rush of juice. If they are newly purchased beans, then shake violently before opening.

Sad or what??

We're talking about 20p (?) for a tin of beans and you want to save 3 or 4 stubborn ones?  Just let them go!

Thanks for the ideas. It's just one of my little gripes I have! I don't spend hours pondering on it all day! Nat - it's not in my nature! I'm a little obsessive about getting the last few out! I know it's sad!

now i have these fab ideas, i shall never be forced to spoon out beans again! ta

Waste not want not I say, hugoboss. What I do is put a titch of red wine in the almost empty tin and swill it around to get those stubborn ones. Then of course add a few drops of Tabasco to liven everything up!

Red wine Artful? - I like it!! any excuse!!
Eat them cold out of the tin,Magic!!
I quite agree with hugoboss it is very annoying and I must admit to chucking the tin out with beans still in it - even sluishing with liquid seems to take forever.  Hugoboss I said I'd be back didn't I???
hugoboss, depends on what I am doing whether I use red wine or white wine (never ros) but in France it's always so easy to get your hands on a bit.  But with baked beans (Heinz I hope!)  it's always RED.
when depositing, turn the can upside down and punch it really hard with your fist!!!

Try this:

Remove the top of the can.  Grasp the can firmly with both hands, open end up.  Raise the can above your head, then swing it rapidly in an arc downwards in front of you.

Afterwards, please post back on her to confirm that it worked.

Cathy Bates?! on Emmerdale Farm was once told, by one of her many boyfriends, to tap the bottom of the tin a few times with a spoon (or something similar) and all the beans should come out.

Thank you all for all your wonderful beany-type advice!! Never again shall a bean go uneated in the Hugo household!!
store upside down, take out, give a good shake, then open and tip up.  Please don't leave one or two in there and throw the can away.  How about washing, squashing and recycling it instead?
