Thinking of not making a traditional Christmas cake this year....

have found a recipe for Christmas cupcakes, they will keep in a tin for three weeks, what do you all think?....the usual Christmas cake is becoming a little boring!...anyone else fancy a change too!.........

I am not keen on Christmas cake and have never made one. Don't think the children know what one is! Must make more of an effort.

I'm not a Christmas cake fan either - too rich for me and don't like dried fruit/peel in cake, glace cherries or marzipan haha :)

Will have a little bit of christmas pudding if smothered in brandy butter though.

I love the cupcake idea - are they general cupcakes or christmas cake but in cupcakes? Chocolate log sounds lovely too.

Jenna, why not just make some chocolate or vanilla cupcakes and decorate them with Christmas decorations!........be lovely, have a search online, lots out there!.........
