Cooked sausages sliced thinly and "dry fried" (it doesn't stay dry for long!)
Add mash potatoes and fry gently so you get crunchy bits, break this up and repeat. Ensure the sausages are correctly "turned in".
Add butter and seasoning as is your preference.
Add a pound of grated Gouda and fold it in. Avoid the cheese from sitting directly in the pan, it melts too quickly and it's frankly a waste.
Once you're happy plonk it on the plate, pour espresso into a mug carry both over to gentle but mindless television - suggest daytime nonsense like antiques roadshow.
EAT.
When you find yourself very tired of proceeding on the television you know your brain has begun functioning again. Hoorah.
