Why are hot dog rolls and hot dog sausages not sold in matching quantities ?!

re: hot dogs generally, try one at a well-known Swedish furniture superstore, you will then understand why they are so cheap. And why does the sausage (if indeed that is what it is) hang out at the ends ?  And how after squidging red and yellow sauces all over it do you stop them dribbling all down your cheeks ?
