In a nutshell.....brown your meat-(not a necessity-but looks better, and can add to flavour),put into slow cooker with seasonings, add a very small amount of liquid, turn on to high for one hour, then continue cooking on medium. I did 4 chicken thighs in mine last night-put them in at 3-3.30-ate at 8pm.
I had a 3.5ltr cooker...when I broke the crock-I fell back on a tiny one that I had....I find the smaller one does a better and much quicker job....maybe because the heat is concentrated more.
It's not that a small cooker does a better job pastafreak, a slow cooker gives a better result if it is full , less flavor lost. So if you are cooking a small amount use a small cooker. Your 3.5 litre one would be great for a large family meal but too small for a few chicken pieces.
Sorry ''too large '' for a few chicken pieces.
I suspect that is what I meant...my brain is still fuzzy.
I used to do a whole chicken (1.2k) in the bigger one.....it was wonderful every time.
Looks like it's not just my brain that is fuzzy... ;-))
