by heck, has to be near harry ramsdens place... surely.

I've been to Harry Ramsdens in Brighton. My ex took the challenge to eat the biggest platter of fish an chips and got a certificate. Mind you he is 6ft 5.
Cous cous with roasted peppers onions and mint

steamed shredded white cabbage tossed in olive oil and caraway seeds with sauce

Sauce: saute chopped red peppers and onions in a little vegetable oil add chopped mushrooms and some basil roughly torn into smallish bits
stir in some chopped tomatoes and season with salt and pepper to taste

Dessert Fresh fruit salad with 'soya yoghurt' Holland and barrett sell it
He's a little glass chap, about an inch high, with dark blue eyes, and a light blue beak.

I'd have him on my shelf, except I don't have any ornaments on display.

I have never been to Harry Ramsdens in Brighton.

Seriously ... never.

Because of where it is, right opposite the pier, it's always busy, so I guess it does well.
Last time I went in there ↑ I got trashed on tequila...

Though it was a bar then.
Whitby has all those steps up to the abbey, yes?

And the Dracula story, and all that.

I've done diving trips to the north east coast. Is there a place called Robin Hood's Bay around there somewhere?

JJ, yes RHB is a couple of miles down the coast. I didnt know you were a diver....I moved here for the diving!

Whitby is great - but the best fish & chips I've had recently was in Brid - crunchy beer batter & fried in proper beef dripping - none of your poncy low cholesterol oils ;)
