Frozen Jacket potatoes

During my shopping trip when I bought too much cream I also bought McCains frozen Jacket Potatoes. Read quite a good review of them somewhere.
Has anyone tried them,f so what are they like?

Well yes Lottie but these have been oven baked first so they are tastier IMO that one that is only microwaved and you can't freeze raw spuds so these keep better.

Hi Woof,

I do mine in the microwave and finish for about five minute in a very hot over after rubbing them with oil and they are almost as good as those baked completely in the oven. So not too long.

Wouldn't it be cheaper to oven bake a batch of them when you have the oven on for something else and then freeze them.

Having said that I buy the McCains Rustic chips with skins on and they are yummy and only 30% fat. We all need quick food at times (and I don't like proper home cooked chips anyway)

i bought some when they first came out and thought they were vile and threw them away

I agree Gina. I only bought them because they were offer. I wasn't impressed.
