Oysters.

I tried one for the very first time last weekend, after much persuasion! - was told not to chew it but just swallow it whole. Was a bit odd but ok. But whats the logic in eating something that you havent even chewed to taste it?

There are 3 different schools of thought;
1. Straight down, no chewing.
2. One quick chew, then swallow.
3. Chomp it up like you would with any other foodstuff.
All have their champions and those champions have their reasons....

I love them......
Best in the world, Bluff in New Zealand, they were selling them on the roadside in Invercargill (that place makes Morecambe look up-market -and it is really the end of the world, next stop Penguin Land in Antarctica); they were a ridiculous price too, something like £2 for a 18 - but so delish.
No messing around with my oysters please, small squeeze of lemon, a turn of the pepperpot and in they go.
