A lady who helps in our charity shop will be 80 soon. She has no family so I am having a small tea party for her. Food etc no problem, but I wondered if we ought to have something to do as well, possibly party games. But what?.I'm hoping AB'ers might come up with some suggestions, please.

Depends how many will be at the party...does she like Bingo?
Question Author
I've said open house, but I'd think about a dozen or so.
Well that's enough for a couple of games of Bingo (if she likes it of course) and you could buy a couple of small gifts for the prizes. Hope it goes well for Her giveup x
kiss chase or postmans knock failing that , a beetle drive or card games.
Question Author
Kiss chase I think--
Strip poker?? ( sorry!)
perhaps kiss chase might not be a good idea, they could all end up with the wrong teeth.

a friend did suggest an Ann Summers party. But seriously shes a nice lady and deserves a little treat.
What a lovely gesture. Any way you can get thankyou cards from people she may have helped in the past? Some nostalgic music is a must, I'd say! When I got married, I had Indian and Chinese food, mostof the oldies loved it, as they hadn't tried that type of food before (I kept sausage rolls at hand, though just in case!). How about a race night game (that can obviously be played in the daytime?)
How about setting up one or two Rumoli boards. I've noticed that quiet a few older ladies enjoy that game. Obviously, you use pennies.
Twister?
Though the ladies might be quiet, I meant "quite":)
Question Author
What's Rumoli,I've never heard of it.
A sing song always goes down well if there is a local college who might provide a pianist and a vocalist?
Oh, oh! Two mistakes: I spelled it wrongly (Rummoli is correct), and it seems that it is pretty much A Canadian game...Well, I tried:)
Pictionary, charades?
Although I ilke the kiss chase and strip poker ideas :-D

Have just contacted my niece who is a musician and I'm grovelling to her at the moment.
"Guess whose moustache it is?"

Seriously, that's a nice thing to do, giveup.
