pasta, it's really nice, it's a real shame it's only "seasonally" available in shops in england
I did exactly the same thing this time last year Pasta. I thought I'd try some haggis as they were doing it at my works canteen, but I didn't like it. I'm glad I tried it though. I'm always up for trying different foods.
Yucck! I imagine it all full of fat!
Humbersloop I don't know if there is a Waitrose near you but our local one seems to have Macsweens Haggis all year round.

i like to make a cottage pie using haggis instead of mince

When I was dithering over whether or not to buy it,I asked a lady next to me. She said it was 'like really tasty mince...but better'. She was right.
I got mine from M&S...made by Macsweens who are said to be one of the best.
A nice Haggis is nice and bad Haggis is, well, bad like all food. Generally the Haggis I have had has been nice over the years.
It is rather tasty. Need to watch the waistline though.
Well I do eat all of those things that you mention sloopy.
