I love soup and having it most nights at the moment.
What is your favourite? Not sure I could decide! I'm currently loving Morrocan Chicken soup on offer at Tesco, Morrisons Chicken and Sweetcorn (with added dark soy sauce) and an old favourite, chicken noodle simmer soup, then there is Heinz chicken and Heinz tomato...I may have a bit of a soup obsession...
love making soup, really hard to choose a favorite from
cream of tomato with a sneaky bit of smoked bacon
cock a leekie
scotch broth, when you can get mutton
smoked haddock chowder
and, correct dt, spicy parsnip
must have a go at mrs o's sweet potato and coconut milk recipe, looks like a winner
I mostly make my own. I still love my spicey lentil soup but am currently perfecting my own version of veg and bean soup... I use chicken stock though so not suitable for veggies!
Anything as long as it's homemade. I really can't believe why tins of soup, never mind the grim dried stuff still exist. And the so-called "fresh" e.g. Covent Garden soups have never impressed me when I've been given them as a guest in someone's house.
I have a very strange attitude to Heinz tomato soup. It's not that I like it particularly, I just enjoy the memory of being a poorly child and being spoilt by my Mum with a bowl of soup on a tray being delivered to my sick bed.
Homemade Cauliflower and Stilton soup, Broccoli and Stilton Soup, Leek, Potato and Carrot Soup. Celery and Stilton Soup. Yes, you have guessed I love Stilton cheese, but funnily enough I cannot eat it on it's own I have to cook it.!
