Almond milk seems to be advertised on TV a great deal lately. Is it any good? I appreciate it tastes of almonds, but is it an unpleasant taste or something that you can acquire a taste for? Can it be drunk neat or do you just add it cereals etc?

I'd like some idea of what it's like before I invest in a litre of it at the supermarket!

Thanks.

"Can it be drunk neat "

What do you mean? ^^^

I used almond milk in place of dairy milk for everything - porridge, cereal, sauces, drinking, for making ice cream etc.
How exactly does one "milk" an almond?.................;-)
Nungate, according to Wiki :-

Unlike animal milk, almond milk contains neither cholesterol nor lactose. As it does not contain any animal products, it is suitable for vegans and vegetarians who abstain from dairy products. Commercial almond milk products often come in plain, vanilla or chocolate flavors and are sometimes enriched with vitamins. Almond milk can also be made at home by combining ground almonds with water in a blender. Vanilla flavoring and sweeteners are often added.
Ooops, sorry, I missed the wink :-)

Sorry society but having been brought up only on full-cream cow's milk since a child, I just wondered to what extent almond milk differed in taste and usage. I take it it can be used to make frothy milk coffee just like cow's milk?
I don't drink coffee so I don't know, but, I do use it to make hot cocoa. I'm sure it would also be suitable for coffee. Why not give it a try and see...
the vast majority of it is water, and it tastes largely of water, too. I found it quite nasty
