I made this earlier, was a bit worried about the italian meringue going pear shaped but it all turned out okay, the cake was delish.

Sloopy, it's a thin metal slab about 10 inches by 7 inches, it thaws anything, just sit the frozen stuff on it and it immediately starts working, it's something in the metal I think, not sure. I got it from one of those Betterware type catalogues that get popped through the front door, I'll see if I can get a link.
