Own Brands Better Than 'name' Brands
12 Answers
So what own brand products would you recommend? The reason I'm posting this is I've just shaved using Morrisons own brand sensitive shave gel. Less than half the price of the next name product and amazingly good. I used to recommend Tesco's own brand granulated coffee - a Nescafe equivalent - which used to be better than Nescafe until about a year ago when they evidently changed the blend; not so good now, although I still buy it - buy a Nescafe jar at the same time and mix the two 50/50.

Dried fruit..sultanas, currants, etc..for baking, smart price or everyday ones, no different in a cake.
Yep, paracetamol are so much cheaper. Superdrug own brand were something like 40p for 16, in tesco I paid 39p for 32 so superdrug isn't so super.

i find there are lots of thngs that don't matter too much to me - i can just as well shower with imperial leather as tesco value shower gel (10p for an equal amount as compared to £3) i hate thick "luxury" toilet roll as as i have a macerator, thin and cheap is better. washing powder seems all the same
