Just been invited to one. Thought, Ooo lovely, different teas to taste (but will secretly stash some Yorkshire Tea bags in my pocket). The I googled it. Not quite what I imagined.
There was an incident a good few years back when shortly after Nick & Jill Faldo split up she got completely trollied on LIIT and got up close and personal with her tennis coach at a party at her sports club......it was splashed all over the Daily Mail.
Oh my word - for someone who has the odd couple of glasses of wine now and again this is going to be interesting. There'll be plenty of fresh homemade cakes and scones so I must remind myself to eat plenty to soak it up - like I need to.
Thanks for the warnings guys, and I'll watch out for the tennis coach eccles:-) Or maybe he should watch out for me. Or maybe I just won't care.
Now are we going to see Ladybirder splashed over the Daily Wail? AOG would go aplopectic if the headliner is "ABer caught teabagging after Long Island Tea rave. What is 'Sensible' Britain coming to?"
Here's the recipe most often used at our house here in the U.S.:
1 part vodka
1 part tequila
1 part rum
1 part gin
1 part triple sec
1 1/2 parts sweet and sour mix
1 splash Coca-Cola
Mix ingredients together over ice in a glass. Pour into a shaker and give one brisk shake. Pour back into the glass and make sure there is a touch of fizz at the top. Garnish with lemon.
First time I saw the recipe I din't know whether to drink it or rub it on as a salve...
Eugghh! I don't like rum and I bet that'll be the overriding flavour?? Thank goodness it's not until next week so I've got time to build up my resistance:-)
Thank you clanad.
