How long can you freeze sausages for?
I've just got some out of the freezer, with the use by date of May, but it says on the back freeze on day of purchase (which I did) and use within one month.

I thought you could freeze things for MUCH longer than this?

You can, but if they put this sort of warning on the pack, many people will throw them away and buy more!! So that's why they do it. Thaw them out, give them a sniff and if they smell OK, eat them. I'll bet they'll be fine.

Thanks seejaypea. Yeah, that was my thinking too. I didn't really want to have to go out to the shops!

Many thanks :-)
I wouldn't have the slightest hesitation in using them. I've used similar at least 6 months old with no ill effects except maybe a marginal loss of flavour
No danger whatsoever to health. I've eaten sausages that have been frozen for a year - slight loss of flavour but that's all.
