Cartons Fruit Juice

You know those rectangle cartons of fruit juice that you put in kids lunch boxes? If I freeze them do you think they'd thaw out by lunchtime if I take them out of the freezer around 7pm?

I want to use them as an ice pack to keep the kids lunches cool.

couple of hours?? i froze some oj in a water bottle yest, put it in at 7, but 9ish it was slushy

Never tried it myself but, before you freeze a load of them in your shoes I think I'd put one in a larger container and see if the carton burst as the juice froze.

how did the experiment go?

Well Fluff, they froze alright but I forgot to take one out of the freezer to see if it thaws out in time. Daughters got one in her lunch box so I'll find out later, if it's a fail she can get a drink easy enough at school.

It worked, daughters salad was nice and cool and the juice all thawed out.
