I love hot chocolate, what is the best one to buy? I buy Cadburys at the mo but sometimes it can be a bit sickly.
Also anyone know of any that taste nice when mixed with hot water (so i can have it work!) coz the ones i've tried (options) just taste watery :o(
I know it's an odd question but all answers will be appreciated!!
Cheers guys!

The Malteser (sp?)  one is good :-)

oo i have seen that in the shops might have to give that whirl at work tomorrow!
I buy Cadburys Highlights.  I like it and my 6 year old granddaughter loves it mixed with cold milk.  It doesn't mix very well with cold milk but she still loves it.

they dont do that one in the sachets though do they??
The Green and Black's one is my favourite. I live in the states and go to specialty import stores to get it, even though it is certainly not cheap. I love it. Mmmmmm....

oo i didn't know they did hot choc, i love their chocolate, in fact i'm eating a bar now...bittersweet dark chocolate. I will be looking out for that in sainsburys tomorrow for sure!!!
i hope i find it!!!

Hi splodge,

I go with estie on this.Green and Black's(organic) Hot Chocolate is to die for, well it is 80% cocoa mass.If you buy this PLEASE don't make it with water(eugh even a cheapo like Cadburys tastes better with milk).

Save up your pennies and go for Green & Black's!

Cheers mystress & estie, thats def going on my shopping list now!!
I know what you mean about hot water, i try to avoid that in my hot choc as much as possible, but at work we only have a hot water machine and i dont drink tea or coffee and get bored of cold drinks.
Does the green and blacks hot chocolate come in different flavours like the chocolate bars?
It's only available in dark choc for now, but I heard that they are going to be making a maya gold version at some point. Can't wait!
I really like Mint Madness OPtions, probably the most chocolatey low calorie hot choc there is out there.  Alternatively, check out this website http://www.seventypercent.com/shop/products_list.asp?str Keyword=chef (first product down), I bet this would be heaven in a mug!  I've tried something similar but I've forgotten the name, but it was the same idea and it was beautiful!

mm mnm morrisonker, that looks lush!

Have you had the thorntons one like that? very nice but i find it difficlut to get hold of!

I also love Green & Black's - but I can't speak for any of the ones that are mixed with water as i'm vegan and they all contain milk extracts.
Try Thorntons - its really nice and is has real chocolate bits in it also
At sainsbury's opposite the run of the mill yoghurts and mousses etc they will have more posher desserts. There are little pots called (I think) GU with the german double dots above the U. They come in a pack of 3 and are bascially "pure" chocholate. You can simply mix one of them with hot milk (not water sadly) and trust me, it will be the nicest hot choccy you will ever have!!!!!
My favourite is Poulain. It is a french brand. Orange box with a horse on the front! Makes great hot chocolate (min 32% cocoa). Sorry not sure if and where you can get it here, but I always get friends to bring it back from France. look out for it if you are ever there.

Stupid question: does your work have a microwave?  I presume not.  Cos microwaved hot choc tastes a million times nicer than the stuff made on the hob anyway.  Otherwise, you could make it with boiling water and some milk.  It would be a bit colder, but less "thin" tasting (cos I know what you mean - watery hot choc - YUK!).  Oh - and you could always just use less Cadbury's hot choc powder.

If I just repeated someone's answer I'm sorry.  I had a scan through the existing answers and didn't think I spotted what I wanted to say.

nah, unfortunatley no microwave at work otherwise i would be sorted!!
Guessed as much! sorry! :-)
I know this is no good for work but at home heat up some milk or if you are feeling like a real treat a mix of milk and double cream add some good quality (min 72% cocoa solids) chocolate broken up into small pieces and stir till melted but don't boil it,make it as strong as you like by adding more chocolate.
yeah, def green and blacks. Forget the hot water instant ones..yuk. Get your self a thermo flask!!
