What Is Everyone Eating In This Hot Weather?

Been having loads of salads as its too hot to cook but getting a bit bored of them now........What's everyone else been eating?

salads, pasta salads, cous cous salads and bbq's.

Eating as normal. We eat lots of salad anyway.

This past week we've had

Asian noodle salad
Pulled pork, guacamole and coleslaw
Ramiro peppers stuffed with pesto and mozzarella, honey and lemon dressed griddled aubergine wih a green salad
Chorizo & avocado salad
Kofte kebabs, carrot salad, cachumber and raita with chapatis

Tonight will be a griddled courgette, french bean and cherry tom salad with a tahini dressing.

Tomorrow is anyones guess!

Tonight I'm having steak but not sure what with yet.

Eccles my dad did griddled courgette over the weekend using his home grown - they were lush - even the OH ate them and he hates courgettes!

They're always tastier when you walk from the garden with your harvest to the kitchen and cook them straight away, part fact and part psychology I suspect.

I haven't grown any courgettes this year but the beans will be home grown. They'll need a damned good wash though as we've just had a storm and the earth has bounced up all over the beans due to the ferocity of the rain!

dad's garden is so full of stuff - he sent me home with new spuds shallots and garlic.

Not as much as usual - and mostly cold (even things that are normally consumed hot).

Mainly pasta and salads, but tonight, just 'cos I feel like it, it's fish, chips, and mushy peas...............

Steak, chips, peas, roasted toms and a Diane sauce (if I don't drink the brandy) and raw red peppers for the fussy feckers!!

I bit the bullet yesterday and made a spaghetti Bolognese which was the first bit of proper cooking (apart from a stir fry which nearly killed me) I've done in a 2 weeks. Today thankfully it's a bit cooler so I'm risking having the oven on and making home grown courgette and ricotta flan.

I'm sick of salads, pasta and cold stuff...So tonight I'm making lamb shanks with mustard mash and veg.

I had a chicken fajita wrap from the canteen for lunch. I would have gone for the salad option, but the salad bar looked like it had seen better days.

Salad and more salad. My husband complained he had fur growing on his ears,hands and a small tail growing.! I didn't get it at first and three oh our grandchildren thought he had gone mad.! LOL xx
