Voluntary Work Advice Please

From September I will have one day a week free and would like to do some volunteer work. Does anybody know of an organisation that would pay petrol costs for say visiting, taking shopping etc for the elderly/housebound. I do not want paying for anything else - just enough to cover costs.

Can I suggest that you google "volunteering"and the name of where you live because its going to vary so much by geography

Have tried that but thousands of pages for young people volunteering overseas. Would be in Bedfordshire/Hertfordshire
