As above.

Take one round of golf over 18 holes of a relative mountain goat course...rather beautiful, though it left me bushed.

Then in nungate land, farm duck breast, sautéed for 3 mins a side, 10 minutes rest, sliced and mixed with shallots and cherry toms that have also been sliced off, a smidge of rosemary, plenty of black pepper and into fresh pasta, along with a green blé salad, blé, touch of rocket, watercress and rocket, a home-made dressing of Scots honey mustard, maple syrup, basalmic and the a reasonable olive oil with chives........the salad also to go with a nice, 'melting, Somerset brie, ash goats cheese from Moody's, dolce gorgonzola and Saint Vernier, a wine washed cheese, the question is what dessert should I think about?

I have my ideas, the best answer to that appeals most...........no bananas though, as Lady J also endorses and many know.

The wine a bottle of organic Terra Viva Merlot, from Waitrose Morningside, and very 'soft'.

Look forward to the responses.

Don't know that one, nungate. How 'soft' is it?....the Lagavulin is one of my W Coast favs....then Scapa for the northern islands and a Tomatin for the Inverness area.
Don't know it at all DT, never touch the cratur! I just have to recommend it as being local. You could "pop" to the distillery or the Whisky experience in Edinburgh (the shop there sells everything whisky related, so many bottles)
Question Author
May do my research and see if there is an outlet here......thanks though, nungate, and for organising yesterday......x

LOL, where is it DT.
Question Author
It's on the coast but, jeez, is it up and down and a strain on the old pegs!

Why did you want us to suggest desserts if it was only a whisky you were after?
