Sweet - today I made a lime and coconut loaf cake (Lorraine Pascale)
Savory - last week, a tomato tart tatin courtesy of our own lyndab (I cheated though so it probably doesn't count. If not then a Quiche Lorraine a few weeks ago. :)
yesterday I made a bramble and apple sponge, some butterfly cakes half were filled with lemon curd and dusted with icing sugar, other half filled with Nutella and dusted with cocoa powder.
Trish a couple of times a week and the last thing she did last week was an assortment of pies and crumbles for the freezer apple & blackberry,plum stuff like that with fruit we've either picked ourselves or been given,its been a great year for that sort of thing.Somehow over the years I've become the family Christmas Cake maker so that was the last thing I personally baked.
This morning at work I have baked 20 fruit scones, 20 plain scones, a triple layer carrot cake, 2 lemon drizzle loaves, gluten free choc and ginger brownies, gluten free Victoria sponge and a banana and choc chip loaf. I am having a cuppa at the mo to chill! ;)
I was going to bake some pasties yesterday, using flaky pastry. I looked up a recipe for flaky pastry, decided it was too complicated, so didn't bother.
