ordinary malt - or a little lemon juice mixed with a splash of water....you could try leaving it out, just cook at the lowest temp that you have and let the meringue rest in the oven until it is cool......

Have made the most ginormous lasagne, a fresh fruit salad, plenty of wine and cocktails, can't be arrised with faffing about these days. Much rather spend the time with my lovely weekend guests.
