Since your question about Unchecky was deep in the replies to another question I thought that I ought to reply using a new thread.

I have been using Unchecky since December and it does what it promises. I'm not sure that it catches fully 100% of the extras but it does a good job.

Also those 30-day free trial periods in the video are for the installations such as μTorrent and BitTorrent for which the action of Unchecky is being demonstrated, not for Unchecky itself.

Thanks bibblebub......It certainly sounds quite effective. I realise now that I Did Not follow carefully the Video.

It would be interesting to know if other ABers use 'unchecky'. If so, come-in please.

I have installed it, but since then I have downloaded so little I have not noticed whether it has done anything or not.

Since it's not resource-hungry and nothing untoward has been installed in the last 3 months, I'll keep it as a safety net even though I've always been careful anyway.
