Tortilla/roti Press
4 Answers
I bought one of these (non electric) but ended up disappointed - instead of a round 9 inch roti I had a 4.5 inch one instead. I tried a bigger ball of dough but ended up with an even thicker small roti.
Has anyone got one of these and used it successfully?

I make quite a few chapatis and they take what feels like an eternity to roll, I thought it would be a lot quicker to use the press but they end up quite thick and small even with a bigger dough ball.
I think it's not flattening enough - there seems to be a little gap between the pressing plates. I now have to think of a way to cross that!!
