Alternatives To Fresh Garlic

Would you advise powdered, frozen or puréed in the event I run out of the fresh stuff?

Is there garlic available in a tube ? Or a jar of garlic, I think it's called "Lazy" or similar ?

the tube one is pretty disgusting.

Just binned a tube - it's disgusting. Have a jar of "lazy" garlic and it's quite a good substitute.

you've already had your answers but I just wanted to add - don't go for anything with Citric Acid or Acetic Acid in the ingredients.......it makes whatever you've cooked taste horrible

I think I will go for the frozen garlic in the red plastic container - not sure of the make.
I might just get a jar though just in case

Those little frozen cubes and great, next best thing to fresh in my opinion. I keep three different ones in the freezer...garlic, chilli and ginger. I've used tubes in the past but find the frozen stuff much better. Never tried the jars of lazy garlic.
The small red plastic trays of them, which I buy, are sainsburys own brand.

A little late here but we use the powdered stuff and it is great i hate those jars as i feel you get the taste of the preservative in the food, yuck.

Just a thought here has anyone tried to freeze garlic themselves? Perhaps you could get a few cloves chop them up and pop in the freezer then try it out later.
