(I hesitate to start the tea/dinner/supper debate again).


Dave's Gourmet Dinners has dished up :


Poached Salmon (frozen but v v good - Aldi)

Peas (frozen and v v ordinary - co-op)

Home Made Cauli Cheese (brilliant - there was a 'bit of a moment' when I realised that I had no grated cheddar in the freezer, but desperation has now shown me that shaved parmesan is even better as a sauce ingredient)

... and some Brown Sauce (Stokes since you ask).

All washed down with a nice glass of Sancerre from my recent booze cruise.


I may have a lie down now :+)

Evening, Dave....and Tony.....because....wait for it.....I'm cooking!!!

Prawn and veggie stir fry experiment.....all from scratch as they say.....

Not lost my marbles.....no prick and ping in the freezer.... and I've had a small glass of gorgeous red....so it'll be an interesting experiment.....☺

But I'm flipping well not spoiling whatever turns out with....Brown Sauce!
Cold roast chicken, salad, coleslaw and boiled Anya potatoes. No dessert and no brown sauce.
We cheated tonight, got a big pizza at the takeaway and I made a large rice pudding that will come out of the oven in 15 minutes :-)

Gness, have you cut up all the veggies into thin pieces or did you buy a bag of veggies stir fry? If it is the former, I admire your determination. I hope you enjoy it.

My version of a Canard Pressé from Rouen....with frites, Cornish runner beans and local peas. Just about to do the breasts, legs and bones in roasting away.....Calva at the ready.
