Of course.
Well...the pie will be homemade...so yes.....x
I would say yes. You're still putting the effort in.
It probably would in this house if I was doing the baking.
It depends on whose eyes you're trying to pull the wool over...;o)
Sometimes you can get away with shop bought pies...drizzling brandy on them and battering them a bit....☺
A pub I used to work in had 'Home Made Soup of the Day' on its menu. In all the time I worked there it was always tomato and 'home made' by emptying a tin of Heinz tomato soup into a saucepan and adding a drop of cream!
if you ping them it counts.
Yes course it counts, you're making at home so it's home made !! Lol
go wild with the pastry cutters on the lids hc, they'll be positively artisan daahling ;0

No bet. I just promised to make the mince pies this Christmas.
yes! Goodness, I cant believe this even counts as a question ;)
bit of glitter in the icing sugar, stuff some stilton under the lid, bung some extra booze in the mincemeat, go wild and do them with filo pastry instead....

the world's your patisserie hc, they'll be a triumph

Of course it doesn't. Home assembled maybe.
No, don't expect the mincemeat to be homemade but the pastry surely has to be to be classed as home made mince pies - otherwise you might as well buy ready mades or frozen and stick them in the oven.
home assembled??

so, to those of you who haven't lovingly pasture raised your own Gloucester Old Spot, ground, seasoned and stuffed the chipolatas and brined and smoked the bacon from said creature - well, those "pigs in blankets" just won't cut it really

also hc, an empty, floured wine bottle makes a perfectly acceptable rolling pin

I'm still trying to round up my Outdoor Reared Pork Pies ... frisky little beggars ...
Come off it Humbersloop.
Everyone has the tools to make a bit of pastry.
I would expect homemade to be homemade pastry really. I can`t imagine many people compiling their own mincemeat though.
