I have just found some delicious-looking recipes for Middle-Easter mutton casseroles with different kinds of beans/pulses. The quantities are huge. If I have any leftovers, will the beans successfully survive being frozen ?
I don't want to waste what might turn out to be an awful lot of food.

I have frozen kidney beans in chillis, and chick peas in curries without any problems. Taste and texture unchanged.
Yep, same as mastecraft. I've frozen bean casseroles (borletti/ butter) and chilli's (kidney beans) in the past with no bad effects on the beans
(just the beans having bad effects on me afterwards!) ;-)
I do it all the time but take care not to overcook the pulses in the first place - if you use tinned ones, the "softer" types e.g. haricot beans, can turn to mush.
