anti bloating food

I have an important thing on saturday afternoon, and although i want to have a good lunch beforehand, i just cannot afford to look bloated!

 

What can i eat for lunch that will fill me up but not bloat me?  I know not to eat carbs but thats all i know about it!

Not sure if you have enough time for this to take effect, but if you have some natural bio-live yogurt, or one of those pro active drinks every morning then it can help control the gasses in your stomach, which ultimately cause bloatedness.

As for the meal itself � this is just a guess I�m no expert! � how about a nice vegetable stir-fry? You�ll be getting enough fibre from all the veg which means your blood sugar levels should stay stable for a while, meaning you�ll feel fuller for longer. My favourite recipe is to stir-fry them with some chopped garlic, ginger and chilli, some soy sauce (to taste) and the juice of a lime. Much better than any of those bottled sauces which contain loads of sugar and preservatives and the like!
Avoid carbs and you will be fine! You will also be hungry later! You could get some sushi, or stir-fry, or have some salmon or chicken with salad. Or you could eat anything and just stop slightly earlier- ie. before you are "full".
