I've had a serious issue to address today ... which are better ... peas, or petits pois?

Obviously the answer is peas. I mean, why do shops even sell those horrid little petits pois things?

Them 'orrible petits pois are imposters!
Because petit pois are sweeter and don't have tough skins (Hi JJ x)
Maybe because the smaller the product, the more flavour it has.

The texture is all wrong, SJ.
Chacun à son goût
Cheers JJ xx Hope you are well

easy - peas because you cant get mushy petits pois
My friend bough a humongous bag of sugarsnap peas, then whinged to me the day after that they took forever to get out of the pods and there wasn't a lot o 'em by the time she'd finished....

True story!
You can Quoi, just mush em up with a bit of mint
Petits pois. Small ones are more juicy.
Has to be peas, JJ.....they flick off your knife much more satisfactorily......x
LOL B00, reminds me of my old mum slicing broad beans like she did the runner beans, boiled them up, skins and all. They turned out a bit black and bloody awful !

Also (and I'm assuming here that everyone microwaves their peas) ...

... do you do them in a jug of water, or just in a bowl?
-- answer removed --
Use petit pois in a stirfry - yummy.
proper peas are better in spaghetti bolognese
Petits Pois are brilliant when mixing with mince beef. However you can't beat chip'shop style mushy peas.
In a Microwave cooking bag, JJ.
Peas every time, I'm so glad to get back to some taste in them.
