Crumpets In The Freezer....

Just found a packet of 6 that must have been there for 18 months, ok to eat or should I bin them?

Bin them. They'll be all dry and horrible. They're not expensive, are they.

I'd definitely eat them - texture may not be great but they won't do you any harm.
Bakery items need to be well/closely wrapped to keep in good condition - otherwise they do dry out. Do you have birds that will eat them (garden variety)?

I find that even if you freeze crumpets for a couple of months, they tend to be a bit dry when defrosted. Having said that, if you toast them and put plenty of butter on them they might be OK. I`d just try it and see and then bin them if they are no good.
